Most of the silver plating has worn away over time.
Bombay Gymkhana was established in 1875 by two Royal Engineer officers of the British Indian Army who wanted a single club that could offer multiple sports in a single location. The club is one of the oldest surviving sports clubs in Bombay (Mumbai) and hosted India‘s first Test cricket Match in 1933.
