Chinese Inside-Painted Blue Glass Snuff Bottle, Carved from Glass Ingot, signed, early 20th century

This is an early 20th century snuff bottle in cobalt blue glass, hand painted from the inside. It depicts a traditional theme with figures set in the countryside. It is inscribed and signed.

It can be seen under a magnifying glass that this bottle was carved rather than blown, which accounts for its heavy weight and form, which resembles a ceramic snuff bottle with foot.

It is very good condition with no chips. The stopper is missing. There is some snuff residue to the base.
