Artist proof etching by George Huardel-Bly of Loch Achray, signed in pencil. Label on the reverse for John Mathieson & Co, printsellers and artists‘ colourmen, 20 Frederick Street, Edinburgh.

Some tanning, but generally in good condition in an early 20th century frame.

Born in France in 1872, George Huardel-Bly travelled widely through Europe and Britain depicting sights of interest with finely detailed etchings and drypoints. He exhibited in London and Paris. For a while, during a stay in Brighton, he was also a very popular silhouette artist.
