Glass vase by Jirí Repásek for Sklo Union Podebrady, Czechoslovakia 1960s

Jiri Repásek ((1927 - ?) started his studies at the glass School in Kamenicky Šenov. He continued his studies at the university by Professor Karl Štípl, graduated in 1952, and started to work in the Bohemia glass factory in Podebrady two years later. Here he became a member of design studio. Together with Vladimir Žahour they became a pioneers in pressed lead crystal and new cuts.
