Early Victorian Oak Work Box With Internal Tray & Working Key, circa 1840

Early Victorian oak work box with lift out oak framed internal tray. Chunky brass handle to top secured with hand made screws. The box is constructed using blind dovetail mitre joints which were usually only seen on the highest quality pieces of furniture or boxes. Working Key. circa 1840.
