Victorian Coalbrookdale Cast Iron & Oak Nasturtium Pattern Garden Seat Bench, C 1870

Victorian Coalbrookdale Co. cast iron Nasturtium pattern garden bench. The bench is clearly stamped CB dale Co to the back of the bench. This is the three seater version (6ft long) with metal back and Oak wooden seating slats. C 1870

Restored in 2019 this classic Coalbrookdale Co bench is in excellent condition.

The bench bears the Victorian design patent lozenge/diamond for 1st March 1866 and the design number 195269. In the 1875 Coalbrookdale co castings catalogue the bench was offered in green or brown paint and with pine or metal seating slats as standard. A bronzed finish and oak seating slats were available at extra cost.
